I'm a SAFe Scrum Master based in Hertfordshire, England πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ with over seven years of experience in the software industry. When moving into the software industry, I tried a variety of roles and settled on software testing for five years before discovering how becoming a Scrum Master could improve the lives of the team, and the whole company.

SAFe Scrum Master
FIS, Cambridge, UK – January 2019 - Present
Leading two project teams at WorldPay/FIS in a SAFe Scrum environment, facilitating all scrum and SAFe ceremonies, working closely with the Release Train Engineer, Product Owners and Project Managers.
Outside of the core roles, I lead the EMEA Scrum Master Community of Practice, teach SAFe for Teams and SAFe Advanced Scrum Master and participate in the EMEA Lean Agile Center of Excellence as a team member.
Removing impediments to delivery and success of the development teams is key to the role and I work with other scrum masters and wider parts of the business to build a high-performing team.
I exercise Lean-Agile leadership by coaching agile teams, promoting SAFe quality practices and Scrum values. I assess the Scrum teams regularly using the SAFe assessment matrix and Squad health checks to keep teams relentlessly improving while fostering a culture of creativity and innovation.

πŸ“œ Training & Qualifications
During this four-day Implementing SAFe course with SPC certification, attendees will learn how to lead a Lean-Agile transformation by using the practices and principles of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and the seven core competencies of the Lean Enterprise.
Attendees will practice how SAFe Program Consultants coach programs, launch Agile Release Trains, create a DevOps culture to build a Continuous Delivery Pipeline, and empower a Lean Portfolio.
Implementing SAFe is the only Scaled Agile training that covers all 7 core competencies of Business Agility and an in-depth exploration of the 12-critical moves required to successfully implement SAFe in the enterprise.
Becoming a change agent and a Certified SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) enables attendees to coach and guide the enterprise toward success in a disruptive marketplace, and empowers them to implement a Lean-Agile SAFe transformation.
The course covers facilitation of cross-team interactions in support of program execution and relentless improvement. It enhances the Scrum paradigm with an introduction to scalable engineering and DevOps practices, the application of Kanban to facilitate the flow of value, and supporting interactions with architects, product management, and other critical stakeholders in the larger program and enterprise contexts.
The 2 day, highly interactive CSM course investigates the Scrum framework in detail from theory and foundations to practical application and pitfalls, covering all the team roles, activities, and artifacts, so that you can be an effective Scrum Master or member of a Scrum team.
Learn how to write stories and break down features, plan and execute iterations, and plan Program Increments. Finally, learn about the continuous delivery pipeline and DevOps culture, how to effectively integrate with other teams in the program, and what it takes to continuously improve the train.
